Panorama is an independent art space in Venice aiming to display local and national surroundings and international horizons, fostering opportunities for collaboration and rediscovery beyond insularity.
        

Panorama is located in San Marco 602/A, Venice and is co–founded by Ozio, MAY and curated by Giovanni Paolin.

Lettere al futuro sindaco, lettere alla futura sindaca In view of the upcoming municipal elections, Panorama presents, in collaboration with Versatile, a collection of letters addressed to those who will lead Venice after the elections. 
An open, respectful, and non-partisan invitation to share aspirations, needs, and visions for the future of the city. The letters, anonymous or signed, will be delivered to the new administration once in office.

Through different visual devices, the works follow vegetal presences across the city – tracing their signs, mapping their movements, and revealing subtle networks of relations that invite us to rethink the urban landscape.

6.9 – 16.11.2025 In a recursive play between memory and fiction, the artist will reinterpret one of the past uses of the space in Campiello San Zulian as a souvenir shop. The exhibition will feature sculptures that simulate objects and traditions that have disappeared or are on the verge of disappearing in Venice. The shop window will thus be transformed into an active archive where the act of remembering, understood as a process of continuous rewriting, will be able to raise new questions about the private and public life of those who live in and frequent the city, as well as about the city itself.
Dialectics of Chaos, Echelons of Timeby Andrea Knezović

Precariousness, insecurity and exhaustion are conditions that Knezović explores as signs of capitalism's ability to accumulate wealth at the expense of the emotional and cognitive dimensions of human beings. Panorama invites the artist to reflect on how specific forms of urban extractivism manifest themselves in urban lifestyles, imagining a poetic parallel between the city and the human psychophysiological body. Along this line of inquiry, the exhibition introduces a playful engagement with one’s own sense of time into the gallery space. Through the act of play, and roaming through the artist's diagrams, the work evokes a gesture of reappropriation, an attempt to reclaim time, along with the wide spectrum of emotions and affections that shape its perception, giving rise to unexpected expansions and suspensions.

Una barena intera by Matteo de Mayda

Moving beyond postcards and tourist clichés, Una barena intera by de Mayda explores the fragile and vital ecosystem of the Venetian Lagoon – its barene and the bird species that inhabit them.
Combining a mosaic-like visual mapping of the lagoon with archival bird photography from the late 1800s, the project draws a powerful line between past and present, urging us to consider what future we are shaping for these landscapes.

Emerging from the quiet intimacy of care and the tactile memory of gardens, Luca Vanello’s works emerge as symbols of healing and transformation. The plants, gathered from therapeutic gardens in Belgium and during a residency in Venice, carry histories of touch and nurture—medicinal herbs, sensory havens, and the delicate labor of healing through soil and scent.

The site-specific installations, enveloping the exhibition space in an atmosphere reminiscent of the lagoon environment, evoke various densities and sensations that are experienced personally through the presence of water, mist, and silence, yet come together in a collective perception.

Answering the question “where is the asphalt in Venice?”, the exhibition invites us to see it more closely, more attentively, through the artwork of the six invited artists: Francesco Fazzi, Erica Toffanin, Marina Marques with Alessia Ugolin and Chiara Alexandra Young, Valentina Goretti, Giacomo Bianco, and Tommaso Mola Meregalli.

Byron Gago is a visual artist born in Ecuador in 1994 and currently based in Bern. Deeply committed to unraveling the complexities of identity and cultural exchange, he explores the emotional landscape of migration. His work delves into the intricate layers of identity and belonging, particularly around borders.

For the Biennale opening week, The Art Newspaper will host its pop-up in our space at Campiello San Zulian. The Art Newspaper is the journal of record for the visual arts world, covering international news and event.

The exhibition represents an evolution of the artist's research, deeply rooted in historical, formal, and cultural analysis of the concept of "Edicola" (shrine, kiosk). A term with distant origins, considered in its expanded meaning.

The installation and the writing workshop are conceived by Matteo Stocco from the metagoon.net platform, a tool for observing and investigating the Venice lagoon,  launched in 2015 and consists of an archive of films and interviews that investigate the varied and complex aspects of the Venice lagoon and the communities that inhabit it.
